Super League of Malawi (SULOM) is expected to replace Muhammad Seleman who has switched sides to Football Association of Malawi (FAM) at the FA’s annual general meeting which took place last Saturday.
Seleman was SULOM legal adviser and has worked on the position for less than a year. He was voted as one of FAM executive committee members leaving his position at SULOM vacant.
Speaking in an interview SULOM president Tiya Somba Banda said there is a need to fill the vacant position before they go to their AGM.
“First of all let me congratulate Seleman who was our member at SULOM. I hope he will deliver the best at FAM where he has gone despite leaving the position of a legal adviser. We have to fill it before we go to our Annual General Meeting (AGM) in March next year. Therefore I ask all football-loving Malawians who are also lawyers by professional to show interest to join us and all credible candidates will have to compete through a voting process”, Banda said.
National Youth Football Association (NYFA) and Southern Region Football Association (SRFA) will also have to replace Chimango Munthali and Madalitso Kuyera respectively.
Munthali was NYFA chairman while Kuyera was SRFA treasure and were also elected as FAM executive members at the AGM on Saturday.
