A late lone goal from Ghampani was enough to give supersport united maximum points as they defeated Black Leopards 1-0 in the ABSA Premier Soccer League (PSL) match played on Tuesday.
Leopards need the points as they are trying to avoid relegation. They contained the pressure poised by Supersport united and stood strong in defence but it was goalless by the break.
In the second half, drama continued from both ends as they failed to convert the created chances and Supersport united failed to convert a penalty in the 74th minute through Grobler but when everyone thought no goals will be witnessed at FNB stadium, Ghampani had other thoughts as he scored in the 90th minute to be the hero for Supersport united as it collected 3 points.
The loss leaves Black Leopards of former Malawi national football team midfielder Robert Ng’ambi just above the relegation zone with 27 points from 27 games while Supersport united has climbed to 3rd position with 47 points from the same number of games.
