The government of Tanzania has enabled the return of 119 Tanzanians who were stranded in Dubai amid COVID-19.

Many parts of the globe strictly banned international flights in March due to the widespread of coronavirus disease. A Dubai aircraft ‘Fly Dubai’ was used to bring back the stranded Tanzanians from Dubai who were stranded after the March 25 announcement of the ban by Arabian states to all international flights.

Some nations have ceased international restrictions, hence making some foreigners in different parts of the world to vacate to their home countries.

On May 15, 2020, other 246 Tanzanian nationals who were stranded in various parts of India also arrived back to the country through the Tanzanian government. That brings a total of Tanzanians brought home so far to 365 Tanzanians.
