Tau’s Brugge frustrate Manchester United, Arsenal, Inter win in Europa league


South African striker Percy Tau was a threat to Manchester United on Thursday night when the two sides played each other in the last 32 of the EUFA Europa league.

Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang played a part for the gunners as he partnered Lacazette who scored the only goal of the match to take the advantage ahead of the second leg at the Emirates stadium next week. Ivory coast international was part of the team but was unused substitute on the night by coach Mikel Arteta.

Two Italian giants Inter Milan and Roma registered wins in the first leg of action of the round of 32 on Thursday night. Milan were 2-0 winners against Ludogorets thanks to goals from two former English premier league players Christian Ericksen and Romero Lukaku who has now scored in the past six Europa league appearances while Roma saw off Belgium side Genk 1-0 thanks to a Carles Perez goal.

Germany sides Bayer Levakusen and Wolfsburg have an advantage going into the second leg after they won their games last night. Bayer Levakusen played against Portuguese side Porto and won 2-1. Alario and Haverts scored for Levakusen while Porto scored the consolation through Diaz. Wolfsburg saw the better of Malmo in their 2-1 win at the Volskwagen arena. Thelin netted on both ends as he gifted Wolfsburg a goal before scoring his side consolation from the penalty spot. The home side scored the other goal through Brekalo.
A hatrick from Diogo Jota gave wolves an impressive win against Spanish side Espanyol. Neves completed the humiliation when he scored wolves 4th goal on the night FC Basel and Rangers also won their matches.
