Simba Sports Club second goalkeeper said to them, three points matter more than who is selected into the first eleven. This was said by Beno Kakolanya who is currently not having more playing time ahead of Simba Sports Club number one goalkeeper, Aishi Manula.
Beno Kakolanya joined Simba Sports Club last season from their League rivals, Yanga Sports Club. Since he joined Simba Sports Club Beno has been struggling to make it into first eleven, especially in Vodacom Premier League fixtures.
“It is normal for the coach to select anyone who shows great improvement in the training. I am not complaining that Manula is selected frequently ahead of me, he is a quality player, so am I but it is a matter of time for me as well.”
Beno says he is not so happy about the fact that he played for his club in few matches this season.
“Personally I don’t like the fact that I played few matches this season, and some other few Mapinduzi Cup matches as well as Azam Sports Federation Cup. It is possible than Manula will play mostly in Vodacom Premier League, and I will be playing in other tournaments. Our target is to win for the club and not ourselves.”
Beno Kakolanya has been featured in few Vodacom Premier League matches, unlike Aishi Manula. In 28 Vodacom Premier League matches, Beno Kakolanya played only 7 matches, and Aishi Manula played the rest 21 matches this season.
