As teams prepare for the 2019 football season, Karonga United Fooball Club based in the Karonga District in Northern Region of Malawi are still searching for a coach to take charge of the team.
Karonga United Football Club Chairperson Alufeyo Chipanga Banda confirmed the development.
“Indeed Karonga United Football Club is looking for a coach to be in charge of the team and am hopeful that by early next month we should have secured the services of one as we don’t want to do things in a rush”.
“We want to have a proper agreement with the coach we are to employ, he should be able to understand the financial status of Karonga United Football Club but help us stay in the TNM Super League”, Banda said. Karonga United Football Club has been without a coach since October last year as the then coach, Christopher Nyambose was fired after the teams supporters protested against his firing and the club roped in the services of Alex Ngwira as care taker coach who help the team finish on position 8 in the TNM Super League but has now joined the new comers Chitipa United.
Dan Mzimkambani and Oscar Kaunda are the names being rumoured to fill the post at the Karonga based side Shingwina sha kukaronga.
