Tundu Lissu in court three days after arriving home

The Tanzania’s main opposition party’s vice President Tundu Lissu has today launched the journey to defend himself against four cases of sedition facing him at the Kisutu Resident’s Magistrate Court in Dar es Salaam.

Tundu Lissu who is also vying for presidency this year under the opposition party CHADEMA is allegedly to have committed the offences in Zanzibar in 2017.

Hearing of the cases was on hold for almost three years since an assassination attempt in September 7, 2017 in Dodoma that left him fatally wounded.
