Manchester United returned to winning ways in the 2020/21 English premier league season as they defeated Newcastle United 4-1 at the St James’ Park on Saturday.
Going into the match, Olegunner Soskjaer and his men had lost their previous league match against Tottenham Hotspur by 6 goals to 1 and with pressure mounting on how the team is performing, the boys had a second-half come back to collect maximum points.
Newcastle United gave the visitors pressure as they took an early lead just after 2 minutes of play when defender Luke Show turned a Krafth’s cross into his own net but the reds pushed for an equaliser in the minute when Harry Maguire headed home a Bruno Fernandez corner kick to go level at half time.
13 minutes into the second half, Manchester United failed to take the lead when Fernandez failed to score a penalty but his sins were forgiven with 4 minutes to full time when he connected a Marcus Rashford cross before Aaron Wan Bissaka and Rashford registered their names on the score sheet to give the Manchester side the win.
