United too good for Chelsea


Manchester united corrected a crutial away win against Chelsea on Monday when they won 2-0 to keep their hopes alive of finishing at the top in the English premier league.

Going at Stamford Bridge, Manchester united coach Ole Gunner Solskjaer included the Ivory Coast defender Elick Bailky in the starting line up after being out of action for almost four months due to a knee injury. Baily did not disappoint on the night as he stood solid at the back together with Luke Show and Harry Maguire to earn praise from coach Solskjare.

Antonial Martial who has been United’s front man in the absence of the injured Marcus Rashford, put the visitors in front before the break when he headed home an inviting Cross from Aaron Bissaka.

In the second half, united cushioned the lead when Harry Maguire headed home a Bruno Fernandes corner kick for the red devils and collected maximum points on a night Video Assistant Referee (VAR) denied Chelsea two goals scored by Zouma and Giroud.

Nigerian international Odio Ighalo who is on loan at the Manchester based side had his debut on the night but had less to displace as he was introduced in added time of the game.

Solskjaer and his men have claimed a double over Chelsea in the EPL this season having also won the first leg match 4-0 at Old Trafford in August and have moved to position 7 with 38 points, four less to the blues who are in fourth position.
