Leicester City football club might have failed to qualify for the champions league next season but it was all smiles for striker Jamie Vardy as he won the 2019/20 English Premier League (EPL) season golden boot with 23 goals.
Vardy who inspired Leicester City to win the Premier League in the 2015/16 season, has been in good scoring form over the years the Foxes have been in the English Premier League and over the past years has finished in the top 3 of the top goal scores chat.
In 2015/16 season, Vardy finished second on the top goal scores chat with 19 goals with the award won by Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
In the 2016/17 season, the England striker performance dropped as he finished the season with 13 goals and on position 14 on the top goal scores chat before finishing with 20 goals and on 4th position on the golden boot standings the following season.
Last season, Vardy came third on the standings with 18 goals with the top golden boot award being shared by three African, Senegalese Sadio Mane and Egyptian Mohammed Salah who plays for Liverpool and Gabone international Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal as they finished with 22 goals.
Jamie Vardy has won the award this season but was being chased by last year’s winner Pierre Emerick Aubameyang of Arsenal and Danny Ings of Southampton who has finished with 22 goals.
