Confederation of African Football (CAF) might cancel the Vodacom Premier League season and other African Premier leagues due to the coronavirus pandemic.
CAF has summoned all the football federation across the continent to come up with a plan about their decisions concerning their domestic leagues.
CAF says until May 5th all the federations must come up with a plan on how they are going to complete the season or they will cancel the season, and start afresh in 2020/21 season.
Tanzania Football Federation is in a dilemma as what is the next move for the Vodacom Premier League season if the leagues are cancelled. To call off the season and grant the championship to the league leaders, and promote qualified clubs from first division league.
In the five days given Tanzania Football Federation have to decide whether to give Simba Sports Club the championship, and promote Gwambina Football Club and Ihefu Football Club into Vodacom Premier League.
They also have to decide on how to proceed with the season behind closed doors so the league can be completed as normal.
