Be Forward Wanderers football club has appointed Foster Namwera as team manager at the executive committee’s first ever meeting held on Wednesday, 13 February 2020 at Lali Lubani.
The appointment has been confirmed by the newly appointed general secretary victory Maunde who served on the position of team manager during the 2019 season and has wished Namwera the best of luck as he take the position.
“It was not easy for us to appoint him as team manager. A lot of names were proposed for the position that we even had to go through a voting process to choose Namwera. We hope he will be a good bond between the players and the technical panel in the new season,” Maunde said.
Forster Namwera became a household name for the nomads in 2006 with his brilliance play in defence which earned him a move to play professional football in Mozambique. He returned to the club in 2016 where he announced his retirement from active football in 2017.
