Be Forward Wanderers football club has asked Polokwane City football club to dig deeper into their pockets if they need the services of defender Denis Chembezi.
Chembezi left the country on Saturday to undergo trials with the South Africa ABSA Premier Soccer League (PSL) side. He has impressed the Polokwane based team making them table a two and half years deal worth k11 million.
However, the nomads through team manager Victor Maunde have rejected the offer. They are asking Polokwane City to come with an improved offer for the Malawi national football team defender.
“As a team, we saw the offer they gave us but its not of worth any value to Denis Chembezi. We have initially written to them to consider coming with an improved offer so that we can let him go,” said Maunde.
Reports indicate that the former Wizard football club player has already agreed on personal terms with Polokwane. They are considering to come with a second attempt worth k15 million.
If the deal materialize, Denis Chembezi will emulate strikers Essay Kanyenda who facilitated the deal and Muhammad Sulumba who also played for the club.
