Be Forward Wanderers football club executive committee and board of trustees have agreed to use the bus it received from former president Professor Arthur Peter Muthalika for public transport.
Former president donated buses to Be Forward Wanderers together with their rivals Nyasa Big Bullets at the launch of construction works of stadiums for the two football clubs.
Wanderers chairman Simon Sikwese said the club is in big financial problems as it has debts and need to pay the players the 10% of their salaries which have been deducted by their sponsor Be Forward as their second hand car selling business has gone down due to coronavirus.
“As a club we depend much on the sponsorship package we get from Be Forward and gate collections when football games are being played. Since we received the bus we want to use it as a tool that will try to generate revenue for the club,” said Sikwese.
